Finally got his license after 6 months of headwork and effort.
30 classroom hours, 6 hours behind the wheel with an instructor, 40 day time hours and 10 nighttime hours with us, tracked, notarized AND his final road test with a DMV tester.
Yep, he took his drivers test in the cyber truck. Maybe that is why he passed, she thought it was cool.
Peggy was awesome, she totally got me when they came back she put her hand on my shoulder, shaking her head saying, Mom....well he crossed the double yellow line pulling out at Costco. WHAT!!!!
Oh no, we didn't practice at Costco of all places!! Should have, it is the busiest place on the island, haha.
Then, she said but he passed!!!!! I went to give her a big bear hug then realized oh ya, covid scares people from that now.....so gave her an air hug instead...haha....I was so happy! WHEW!
And after all that, he still doesn't want to drive!!! Oh how the times have changed....
Justin and I both were at the DMV and ready to hit the road at 16 on the dot!!!
HOWEVER - I am grateful! Grateful for the lengthy process, grateful he is a cautious and defensive driver AND grateful he prefers to be at home :)
