Dylan's vocab is so impressive. He knows the meaning and how to pronounce of some advanced words or can figure it out. An example is when I mis pronounced anecdote vs. antidote. He knew the difference. Way to go Dylan, it is proof that reading makes you smarter, increases you vocabulary and pronunciation skills. "The more you read, the more you know. The more you know, the more places you go!" -Dr. Seuss

Thinkers
They both have show an amazing shift in their math with our new curriculum of focusing on problem solving. They are learning how to think through the problems, understanding the why and hows of math, and their neatness in work is unbelievable. They are taking pride and ownership in their work. Wow!
We are studying how to be a critical thinker and problem solver. In one of the lessons,
we caught the presenter making a joke. Nice catch!
Deep Time History documentary moment. We are watching documentaries that cover prehistory to now. Sharky loves learning too.
Dylan Animation
We have been busy with school.
The boys are learning Unity, a game engine to create and grow real-time 3D games and apps.
Dylan really wants to work on creating a game as a long term goal through his remaining school years to hopefully be able to make it his job. What a great goal!
He is really into this project. I love seeing what lights them up!
He bought a dragon bundle and created the coloring and now is learning to animate it.

I am so grateful we get to spend everyday, allday together learning with homeschool,
being healthy, and in nature. Such an amazing way to start the day. I love all my boys so much!

School Groove
I have been working hard planning out our year and beyond.
We have been getting in a great routine that everyone is getting what they want. Off to a great start!
Math, Reading (independent, Tuttle twins online course, and read aloud), Critical Thinking writing workbook, Science (overall basics, chemistry and physics basec concepts) and History (making a timeline and studying from start of humanity to age of exploration for now).
Excited for our year!

Birds
He is learning. So cool that we are starting to have a peacock around everyday.
His Edwards adventure: he hops the fence, eats and went to check out our yard, and made it to the all you can eat chicken coop buffet. We thought that was the ticket, but he hasn't had another adventure since. Only fence to lanai adventure twice.
I look forward to feeding him!
