Dear Santa...
Writing letters to Santa.
I was worried how the Santa trip would be since the last time we were at the mall they said they didn't want to see Santa. Then, we saw his elf in the parking lot (he parked next to us) and they were scared. I told them they couldn't be scared of his elves because they make the toys! He then came and handed me a flyer and I told them, see he gives you things. Guess that got them geared up to go see them. Off we went and Dylan carried both letters inside of their rocket box. I asked him if he wanted me to put them in the backpack instead but he insisted on carrying the rocket box with the letters. Santa was not busy and was able to give us lots of attention. The boys handed him the box and he opened it and read them together. They took a professional/formal picture but I like the one of them discussing the letter the best. The sweet moments of belief and awe!
Climbing up to hang with Santa.
Reading H letter.
Dylan proud of his drawing.
Yep, I want a RC car and my brother wants a RC airplane.
My $40 picture. You are not suppose to take pictures with Santa from your phone but they let me! Then, I felt bad so I bought a package of pictures! Glad I did, great gifts! ;) Great memories of a precious moment...priceless!
Angel tree shopping time. We have been talking about how some kids and people do not have food, toys, beds, homes, etc and they just don't understand why. When they throw their toys, jump on their beds, don't eat their foods, etc I try to explain to them that some little kids do not have any toys, beds, home, food and more. I know they are too little to understand but I do think it is important to start learning about and to be respectful and grateful of our things and help those that need it, especially children. I saw an angel tree and how perfect! I let them both pick the age and sex of the child. Dylan picked a 7 year old boy and Hudson picked a 4 year old girl. Their list had many items which made me feel good that it isn't just my kids wanting 20 items from Santa! Ha! Dylan picked an RC car and basketball off of the little boys list and Hudson picked a baby doll and stroller from his list. We bought them and took them back to the angel tree. Then I had to explain myself again because Dylan was asking/pointing to kids he saw if they were the ones who didn't have toys! AHHHH! Lots of lessons today.
Ranger met us at the mall but he didn't want to see Santa. We found him on the truck then headed to the playground, then went to the park across the highway. Amazing! We found another perfect park and playground!
I was GRILLED on Santa and his Elf on the way home. It didn't help that his elf was in the car next to us! Where does santa eat, does santa have a butt, why did his elf drive his car, why do they live in the North Pole, how do they get here, why does santa park in the basement, why does Santa have elves, why do I have to wait until Christmas for my toys, do they elves bring them or just santa? ...oh this is just a few or the many! I'm not a good storyteller! Hope I can make it to at least age 6!
