Tri

All carbed up from our sushi, Dylan was able to walk a mini marathon this morning! Made it a little over a half mile before snacking in his stroller. Then, swam at Barton springs. He met a cute, six year old little girl that became his new friend. It was so cute to see him take her hand and follow her around. If she would of lived close, she would be a great sitter and teacher! We may be doing this routine going daily...he took a 2.5 hour nap after!

Friday fun

What a great day! Dylan is so good at his stack and sort puzzle. Today we started the little gym and he loved it! Monkey bars and basketball were his favorite. Then, the toy store was a fun afternoon outing. We may have to buy a play kitchen set. He enjoyed cutting wooden food. Maybe that would help out meltdowns in the kitchen. Sushi with our friends was fun. Once again Dylan ate 14 pieces of sushi!!! Out ate mama and was on to uncle Geoffrey's plate! He loves his uncle Geoffrey! One of his favorite words. However, he saya mama is still his best friend. Yay!

Muddy

It's about to get messy over here!!! Rain, puddles, dirt, poo...oh no!

HBD 18 Months

Happy Birthday Little Buddy!  We love you!!!
You are such a good boy for getting up on the sofa for your monthly picture by yourself.

At 18 Months, Dylan:
  • Lots of Firsts: 1st trip to Sea World with Mommy & the girls: Addy, Alicia, Nonna, Isla; 1st Golf set from Gramps; 1st Firetruck Station Visit - wasn’t feeling great so didn’t enjoy it as much as would of; 1st Skateboard; 1st Wedding; 1st Dentist Appointment.
  • We all slept in the same bed in San Antonio for the night and enjoyed it.  Dylan is a wiggle worm.  Hit mommy in the head, kicked daddy, was upside down to sideways in bed.
  • Has Mama, Mealtime Meltdowns when Mommy is in the kitchen cooking for breakfast & dinner.  He wants Mama to hold him & to sit on her lap while eating.  Him helping no longer works.  Daddy has to entertain him or do the cooking.  We started putting him in his room when he was doing it and it has helped.  He has his good and bad days.
  • Loves to run & say “run. fast.”
  • Bats his eyes & acts shy to new people.
  • Runs full speed to give you a hug or kiss.  He is being super sweet!  Gives big bear hugs and lays his head on your shoulder.  Gives kisses too.
  • Reads to Doggie, Monk Monk.  Pointing to pictures in the book & saying bug.
  • Gets super excited to watch the wiggles & always says wiggles when we go to the gym.
  • Loves to jam out to the tunes on his chicco car.
  • Knew love is his swimming pool outside with water or no water.  Calls it pool or bath.
  • Mommy phase.  Loves his mama.
  • Schedule since time change:  Started sleeping until 7-7:15, 1-1.5 hr nap @ 12 or 1; bedtime @ 7:30.  Wakes up happy & sleeps in if put him down by 7:30!
  • Can complete his Melissa & Doug Stack & Sort board (puzzle).
  • Teething - Bottom R incisor finally came in, Top R, bottom L & Top L incisors all working their way in.  Likes to floss.
  • Crawled up and sat on sofa for his 18 month picture all by himself.  Says Cheese for pictures.
  • Loves to listen to his “CD, CD” in car.  Started Armstrong Music with circle of friends.
  • Ran from Mopac bridge to Texas Rowing Center with Sadie’s leash...I would say that is about a ¼ mile.  He is getting his stamina up!
  • Some of his favorite words: tells you to “get it”, “lets see”, “silly”, “funny”, “outside”.  Too many to list.
  • Personality:  It is really developing.  He is a happy, lovable, friendly, smart & strong boy with a good arm.. he likes to throw!  He loves to have fun, be active, yet also loves to play with his trains and read books too.  He loves to laugh, smile and say hi to everyone even though he is shy when people approach him.  I would say he is a well behaved, easy going kid at this stage.  He is good at minding and following instructions unless he is tired or hungry.  He has tested us a few times!

Bluebonnets

We tackled the rain with Grammie and managed to get some great pictures in the bluebonnets!  Thank you rain for cooperating so we could get some cute ones.

Smelling the flowers.

Mama's boy.

Where's Grammie?

 Loves his bear.

Letting Bear smell the flowers.

He was being so silly, I couldn't decide!

MY FAVORITE!

Pool

More outside playing.  Let's bring our "tent" and "tunnel" outside!

Good idea Mama! Don't even need water in the pool for a good time.

Why not put the tent in the pool?

Saying "Tent" while snacking on "bueberries".

Mama, here comes "Dada".  Dada caught us both in the pool!

Why not both get in the pool?  Mama, another great idea.  So fun!

Summer

I love my Benny.

I love playing with my trains.  I want them all lined up on the track then push them through the "tunnel".  I have figured out that you have to have the train a certain way so the magnet will stick to the one before it.  I haven't mastered that I can pull them apart.  Instead, I bring them all to Mama or Dada in a line to "help" when they fall "off".

Summer is starting over here!  Dylan had a BLAST when I got the pool out and put some water in it.  He calls it "bath" then "pool".  His new favorite love.  Summer is going to be a blast.
 In heaven!  Water boy!

Love my little boy!  And he loves his Mama!
