Oh Christmas Tree

We went to Target to get our Christmas Tree.  We bought a little one last year and planned to use it again this year BUT it didn't work out.  So, we decided to go the fake route so we could reuse it every year.  We had good intentions.  This one seems simple and perfect for us.

Poor tree from last year.  Charlie Brown Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas Tree.

While we were out, Elfy came!  He left his book on the kitchen table and the boys spotted it right away.  It took them a while to find Elfy on the light.  Once they did, they didn't take their eyes off of him.  We shall see how this goes this year.

Daddy reading them the book.

Listening so well.

Time to put up our tree.

Up and bare.

Time to hang the star.

Plug it in.

Dylan was such a help this year.  He helped with the tree and the stairs.  Love seeing them so excited.

His favorite ornament is a stone I bought him a while back.

I laugh them discussing Christmas, Santa and Elfy.

We love Christmas

The boys learn how to center themselves and breathe during circle time at school.  We have extended it into our home too.  Whether needing a break, getting grounded, feeling anxious, angry, frustrated, nervous or simply wanting to go inside they now have the tools.  Lucky boys!  What an amazing skill to have.  Too bad this isn't mandatory of school!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving.

We wanted to do a pot luck on the beach for Thanksgiving this year.  Our friends mentioned they were renting an RV and the guy had one more if we were interested.  Absolutely!  So, we rented it and went camping.  We still organized a pot luck on the beach and had such a blast.  So blessed to have such an amazing Maui Ohana.  Everyone brought great food and their gratitude.  I couldn't believe I even lead a cheers while we made a circle before our dinner.  This may be an annual tradition now.

It's here.  Let the glamping begin.

On our way.

Haha.  So fun and so funny at the same time.

Let the day begin.  It was so windy when we first got there.  Thank goodness because it ended up that we had the whole beach to ourselves!  We were worried about getting a spot.  No need, we had it all.  The wind died down and we were able to surf, have our meal and a ton of fun all day.  We blocked the wind with the RVs and Westvalia.

Slack line.

Thanksgiving...day of thanks.

Hudson so sleepy from getting up at 4:30 am excited for our RV, not taking a nap and partying too late!

Mr. Turkey Thanksgiving hangover.

Dad and Dylan slept on the top bunk.  After a great lazy day after thanksgiving we had to sadly cut our trip short on the second night and come home.  Dylan had started coughing and after his super long nap he had a really high fever.  He wasn't doing good so we decided to head home.  Good thing, the second we pulled in the driveway he had to vomit!!  Hudson's nose got nasty too.  It was good to be in our own beds and get a good night sleep to recover!  Great memories of a great day of thanks!
