Haleakala Star Gazing

New Moon October 23rd so we went up to Haleakala for some stargazing. We bundled up, took some blankets and ordered some pizzas to pick up along the way.  We had a cold picnic and a cuddle star gazing session to stay warm.  Daddy and Grammie did some astronomy photography.  Incredible to see all the stars at 10K feet with no light around.  We saw 3 amazing shooting stars,  the milky way, satellites and a ton of stars.  Can't wait to ship our telescope over here and go up there again.  It is nice to get out of the heat and nice to come home to the heat too.  It was in the 40s. BRR!

Love this photo.

We are so small!  Good to remember at moments when things feel overwhelming, things just really do not matter in the scope of things.  The present moment and loving life.
