Happy Birthday Baby Boy!! You are officially a Big Boy...1 YEAR!
Gosh the year has gone fast but we have had a lot of incredible moments, memories & a TON of fun!
Looking forward to the many more to come!
At 12 Months, Dylan:
- Weighs about 22 lbs
- Teeth. Has 6 total and getting upper left and lower right lateral incisor. Top one started peaking through 9/23, lower one about a week later. Runny nose, fussy, chewying on everything, not eating or drinking as much, naps not the best/fighting them, waking early, clingy to Momma.
- Officially running & playing chase & hide & seek. Runs on the sofa!!!
- Favorite game - chase with the popcorn popper. He will bring it to you, then turn and run.
- Starting to throw tantrums if doesn’t get his way.
- Wearing 6-12 mo, 12 mon, & 18 month clothes. Loves to run around in a diaper or naked.
- Wants down to walk, pushes against you and will cry if he doesn’t get down.
- Now he is in his front facing infant/toddler carseat.
- Decreased midmorning & afternoon cup to 4 oz.
- No more rice cereal & occasionally pods. Eats oatmeal, banana, toast, pb for breakfast. Snacks are crisps, fig nutons, annie bunnies, blueberries, strawberries or other fruit, pouch, magic pop, smoothie. Lunch is a sandwich, veggies, veggie burger, etc. Dinner whatever we are eating. Loves bread, pouches, and his snacks!
- Giving his own bowl, he feeds himself with his hands and is getting pretty good at spoon & fork.
- Points to the monkey decall in his room when you ask him “Where’s the Monkey?”
- Moos, Ooh Ooh Ha Ha when you ask him, “How’s a Cow go?” or “How’s a Monkey go?”
- Carries his book or his elmo to you.
- Points at the Tv, then sits in his chair or the ground by it and looks up at it and says Show when he wants to watch his TV show.
- Points at the trucks, cow, and little characters in his Let’s Go Book, loves to read by turn pages in his books and pointing to the characters and babbling.
- Brings Mommy the book, turns around and sits in my lap.
- Stacked blocks 9/6
- Said Giraffe when we asked him where his Giraffe was. (wall decal)
- Get his attention & get him to pause by counting slowly to 5. 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5.
- Tickle spot - inner thigh...makes him giggle so hard!
- Puts objects in containers & imitated things we do..vaccumming, drinking from water bottle, using the bike pump, walking the dogs, etc.
- Points to things he wants.
- Words - mor for more is his favorite, mama, dada, ma for milk, please, mail, dah for dog, cat, giraffe, truck, and more!
- Listens to careful, no, na ah!, ouchy & understands more than we would ever know!
