Dylan's official 1st Day of school was today at the Nature Center.
He said he didn't want to go but then was acting excited. He ran all the way up to the Nature's Way Building and was Mr. Chatty with Mr. Britt. We went to look at Turtle (the frog) and then he played with Ingram with the Puzzles and told Mr. Britt all about Lost Pines and the sound there that sounded like a dinosaur (he got scared at Lost Pines when we were by the dock because we heard a loud noise and he asked what it was and Daddy said a dinosaur! It was a garage truck like noise.). Then we made our way outside on the playground and he was so busy. He started painting and then we made our way by Mr. Britt and the sand so Mommy could leave. He was a little apprehensive about me leaving but didn't cry or chase after me. So that was great! When I came back he was working hard, pulling a wagon with hay in it. He was happy to see me but it took us 30 minutes to leave. He was so busy playing outside then had to go potty and stalling. I will take it as a good sign. It made me so happy to see him so happy. This place is amazing. Excited for next week.
Mr. Britt said the second I left he was talking and started working. Took his shoes off and made himself at home. On their hike he laid on his tummy and drew the ravens just chatting a way. He and Bonnie the director are excited to have him and think he is a joy. Made me happy!
